Remember how the Lord, your God, led you all the way in the desert
these forty years, to humble you and to test you
in order to know what was in your heart,
whether or not you would keep his commands.
He humbled you, causing you to hunger and then feeding you with manna
which neither you nor your fathers had known,
to teach you that man does not live by bread alone,
but on every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord.~~ Deuteronomy 8:2-3 ~~
" For God who said, Let light shine out of darkness, made his light shine in our hearts, to give us the light of the knowledgeof the glory of God in the face of Christ. But we have this treasurein jars of clay to show that this all surpassing power is from Godand not from us. We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned;struck down but not destroyed. We always carry around in our bodythe death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body....Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for usan eternal glory that far outweighs them all.So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal."~~ 2 Corinthians 4:6-10, 16-18 ~~
"Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth,
where moth and rust destroy, where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is,there your heart will be also. "~~ Matthew 6:19-21 ~~
Are you guarding your heart?" My son, pay attention to what I say;listen closely to my words.Do not let them out of your sight, keep them within your heart;for they are life to those who find themand health to a man's whole body.Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life."~~ Proverbs 4:20-23 ~~
With what?
Is it wholly belonging to the Lord?
Is it His possession?
His dwelling place?
Do you cry...search me and know me Lord....like David...give me an undivided heart?
Is He your treasure?
Your exceeding great reward?
Do you say with all sincerity...
Whom have I but you?
